Cherokee 7th Grade Trip May 2025 - Back to Photos

May 13 through 16 2025. 

Tuesday we left school at 8:45, stopped for the lunches we packed at a state park.

Next stop was Clingman's Dome.  This is an observation point high in the Smokey Mountains,  From the parking lot it is a very uphill hike to an observation tower at 6,200 feet and oftern in the cllouds as it was for us.

Wednesday morning we hiked the Deep River trail in the Cherokee National Forest.  Wednesday afternoon we visited the Cherokee Village for a guided tour.

Thursday morning we rafted the Nantahala River. In the afternoon wehad some souvenir shopping and visited the Cherokee Museum.

After dinner Thursday Cherokee dancers came to our motel for a show.

Friday was the bus trip home including a stop to descend upon a McDonalds
